Yira Collins Sor: Former Nigeria U20 Ace Joins KRC Genk

Top ranking Belgian First Division A outfit, Koninklijke Racing Club Genk, have signed and unveiled experienced 22-year-old winger, Yira Collins Sor, from Czech topflight league side, Sportovní klub Slavia Praha.

Announcing the arrival of the Wing-wizard, Koninklijke Racing Club Genk took to it’s official social media handles to show off the winger as the bolster their squad as the eye domestic glory.

“KRC Genk today signed an agreement with Yira Collins Sor (22) until 2027 and will take him from Sportovní klub Slavia Praha. when the player returns from the current break, our new number 14 will join the core of Wouter Vrancken” the announcement concluded.

Born on Jul 24, 2000, 22-year-old Yira Collins Sor started his professional football career with Lagos based Academy side, 36 Lions.

After an exciting development stage with 36 Lions, the highly rated speedster proceeded to team up with Czech based side, Banik Ostrava from where he caught the eye of National team selectors and featured for the Nigeria U-20 team in the world cup.

After a decent outing in the World Cup, Yira Collins Sor teamed up with Czech topflight league giants, Sportovní klub Slavia Praha where he carved a niche for himself with handful of goals and assists to his name.

With the recent move, the former Nigeria junior international will thus team up with fellow Compatriot, Paul Onuachu in the stars studded KRC Genk team.

    Nigerian defender, Ohale Osinachi, has sent strong warnings to South Africa ahead of the Women’s Olympic FIFA World Cup play-off against South Africa later this month as she expertly commanded C.F. Pachuca Femenil backline to clinch a 4-0 win against Santos Laguna (w) on a clean-sheet in one of the fixtures played in the Mexican Femenil earlier today.

    The Super Falcons are set to take on South Africa in a two-match series, with the initial encounter slated for April 5 at the MKO Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.

    The return leg is slated for April 9 at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria.

    The winner of the tie will clinch one of Africa’s two tickets to the Women’s Olympic Football Tournament.

    Ohale who joined Pachuca Femenil at the beginning of the year has continued to stamp authority in the heart of Pachuca Femenil with handful of clean sheets under her belt.

    The rock-solid defender with her experience and calmness in play is believed to help the Nigeria Super Falcons outplay South Africa to clinch one of the spots for Paris Women Olympics.
