Wotlai Expresses Delight Over Abia Warrios Relegation Survival

Abia warriors midfielder, Daniel Wotlai, has expressed his delight,haven seen Abia Warriors retain it’s place in the Nigeria elite league after the just concluded 2021/2022 Nigeria professional football league season.

The Coach Imama Amapakabo tutored side on it’s final Matchday were faced with an uphill task haven been drawn to trade tackles with fellow relegation threatened side, Lobi Stars Football Club at the Okigwe Township Stadium.

Inconsistent Lobi Stars Football Club had their fate in their hand on it’s final Matchday as they are billed to trade tackles with Abia Warriors at their fortress.

The exciting fixture lived up to it’s expectations with much hungerier Abia Warriors side bagging a (2-0) comfortable lead at half time.

On re-emergence for the second half, the Umuahia warlord’s came through with it’s 3rd goal with it’s top Scorer, Valentine Odoh netting his 15th goal of the season from the spot.

In a post match reaction, visible elated Wotlai expressed his delight following the team relegation escape.

” It was a team effort, we were committed to ensure that the club doesn’t sink and the team management were very supportive, i am excited it ended in Praise”

The Abia Warriors box to box midfielder was an integral squad member of the Abia Warriors team during the season as he records the most number of playing time than every midfield player in the team.

In the wake of the much-anticipated Sporting24/Quadrans Football Management Scouting Tournament, seven promising footballers have been identified for potential professional careers. The three-day event, which drew participation from prominent academies and clubs across Nigeria, concluded with a fervent display of skill and determination from aspiring talents.

The selected players, hailed for their standout performances, represent a diverse array of academies and clubs:

Eghosa Divine Aiku from N-Youth Football Academy

Simon Sunday – N-Youth Football Academy

Adams Abdulbasit from Footwork Football Academy

Emmanuel – Sporting Supreme

Dolo Issa from HB Football Academy

Pascal Dia Samba – HB Football Academy and Tape Abdul Dimitri Lygui from Sporting Supreme.
