As teams across Europe, Asia and Scandinavia continued their quest for domestic and continental glory, , some Nigerian players abroad were on the show as their respective clubs were able to secure valuable points both home and away which ensured that they remained on course for a reputable position in the league table.

These Nigerians did not go unnoticed as we capture their performance for their respective clubs across.Nigerian based Journalist/Blogger, Nwosu Chigozie reviews the Nigerian (11) team of the week as regards to their performance in their respective clubs in Europe.

1. Dele Alampasu (Pietà
Hotspurs F.C, Malta)
The Nigerian Super Eagles goalie made it in between the sticks for the Nigeria team of the week following his extra ordinary goalkeeping artistry.

Dele came through big for his side, made a total of (6) saves in the game.

2. Igoh Ogbu (Lillestrøm, Norway)
The Nigerian junior international sustained his exciting performance in the Norwegian Eliteserien league.

The Nigerian international helped his side keep a clean-sheet playing from the center back.

3. Stephen Eze (Queen’s Park, Scotland)
In our Nigeria team of the week, Scottish based defender, Stephen Eze pairs Lillestrøm defender in the heart of the defence.

The towering defender recorded a clean-sheet marshaling his side backline and registered his name in the goal scorers chart.

4. Ola Aina (Torino, Italy)
Mr Lulu made it to the list, playing from the right back position. Ola Aina was influential in his side win and had a goal to his name.

5. Ebenezer Okezie (FC Noah, Armenia)
Regardless his side disappointing draw, highly rated Nigerian star, Ebenezer made it to the list playing from the left back position.

Okezie was the cynosure of all eyes, solid defensively and a big threat offensively.

6. Emeka Atuloma (Al-Shabab, Bahrain)
Playing from the defensive midfield role,Nigeria Super Eagles star had a goal to his name to open his goal scoring account. Emeka Atuloma goal helped his side clinch a big win.

7.Alex Iwobi (Everton, England)
Rejuvenated Iwobi was in his element in Everton big win, playing from the central midfield role.

The midfield genius came through with two exquisite assist to help Everton beat Crystal Palace.

8. Moses Cobnan (FK Železiarne Podbrezová, Slovakia)
Playing from the wing in the set-up, Cobnan came through with grade A performance. The Nigerian youngster was able to net his 7th league goal.

9. Friday Adams (FC Noah, Armenia)
Playing from the wings, Sensational star, Friday Adams continued his goal count as his scored his side only goal in their disappointing loss.

10. Abdullahi Tanko (FK Varnsdorf Czech Republic)
Exciting youngster, Abdullahi Tanko was a big influence in his side recording a goal. Tanko second half goal was enough to help his side grind out a point.

11. Gift Orban (Stabæk Fotball, Norway)
Leading the Frontline, Gift Orban banged his 16th league goal of the season in his side four goal thriller draw against Sandness.

Atuloma Emeka: Nigerian Midfielder Relishes Al Ettihad Experience

Nigerian international, Emeka Atuloma has relished his experience playing with Bahraini based side, Al Ettihad Bahrain, in the just concluded Bahrain second division 2023/2024 season.

Holidaying in Nigeria, the utility player in a chat with Nigerian journalist, Nwosu ‘Chygoz’ Chigozie, bared his experience in the just concluded season playing for Al Ettihad.

“It was a sweet experience playing for a wonderful club like Al Ittihad, they club has one of the best fan base and they kept lending their support to their darling team althrough the season”

“The league is quiet demanding but never took me long to adopt as I have played in the country in the last two years so am used to the food and their weather”

“It was no doubt a remarkable season for me, had the most number of matches and equally helped the team always anytime defending the badge”

“Am looking forward to the next challenge which will be made public in the coming weeks” cheerful Atuloma concluded.

Known for his bullish nature in the middle of the park and his ability to play in more than one position, Atuloma remained handful and ever present in the stars studded Al Ittihad team.

The Nigerian midfielder has played in numerous leagues as he list Al-Shabab as his former clubside.
