Teams across European countries at the weekend continued their quest for domestic glory whilst others continued preparations for their league resumption and new season.

Nigerian international didn’t fail to shine as always as they hugged lines following their top performance for their various clubsides.

In this piece, we would take a look at Nigerian stars who were fortunate to find back of the net.

1. Victor Boniface (Bayern 04 Leverkusen, Germany)

The Nigerian international who got a National team call-up to the Nigeria Super Eagles team fired a brace to help Bayern 04 Leverkusen claim a 5-1 win over Darmstadt. His 4th goal of the season.

2. Abdullahi Tanko (Banik Ostrava, Czech Republic)

Goal machine Tanko fired a goal in two successive games to earn 4 league goals ranks as one of the top scorers.

3. Tijani Muhammad (Slavia Prague, Czech Republic)

The gangling forward carried over his Europa league form into the league as he scored his 2nd league goal in Slavia Prague 5-1 win over MFK Karviná.

4. Akinyemi Adeleke (MFK Karviná, Czech Republic)

Adeleke Akinyemi scored his side only goal in their disappointing loss away from home against Slavia Prague.

5. Kanu Stanley (Marítimo, Portugal)

Unhearlded Stanley Kanu came through with a goal to help Marítimo B in claiming first win of the season.

6. Yusuf Otubanjo (Pyunik Yerevan, Armenia)

The experienced talisman got a brace to help Pyunik Yerevan in defeating FC Van away from home.

7. Bright Osayi (Fenebarche, Turkey)

The Super Eagles defender scored his side only and winning goal in their slim win over Ankara.

8. Ogunji Alexander (Riga FC, Latvia)

Ogunji added to his goal numbers in his side Riga FC defeat to Jelgava at home.

9. Victor Osuagwu (Jelgava, Latvia)

Osuagwu came through big for Jelgava as his goal contributed to the team surprise win over title contenders, Riga FC.

10. Rafiu Durosinmi (Viktoria Plzeň, Czech Republic)

Scoring in the Europa league, Rafiu Durosinmi came back to the league to score in Viktoria Plzeň win over Bohemians.

11. Tolu Arokodare (Genk, Belgium)

Tolu came through with a late equaliser to salvage point for Genk in their 1-1 stalemate.

12. Terem Moffi (OG Nice, France)

Moffi doubled OG Nice as they went on to clinch a win over Strasbourg.

13. Henry Offia (Trelleborg, Sweden)

Former Nigeria Under-20 ace fired a goal to help Trelleborg in claiming a win over Eskilstuna.

Igoh Ogbu Scores As Silky Slavia Leave Servette Marooned

Nigerian defender, Igoh Ogbu, listed as one of Slavia Prague heroes as he came through with a goal as Slavia Prague cruised to a 0-2 win over Swiss side.Servette in the round one of the cure UEFA Europa league campaign.

The exciting fixture had the visitors, Slavia Prague grew in confidence in course of the game after kick-off as they took total control of possession.

Clear cut chances were at premium though, as the driving rain in Geneva, as the host kept it all solid to rebuff all that were thrown by the visitors.

The only goal in the first half of the game came through from defensive sloppiness rather than star quality. The hosts failed to deal with a dangerous cross into the area which was feasted upon by Slavia Prague striker, L Masopust to hand Slavia Prague lead.

The host came out strong in the first half hoping to level up things but all thanks to Slavia Prague goalkeeper who kept it all solid in between the sticks.

The visitors, Slavia Prague rediscovered their foothold on proceedings and a second followed afterwards.

For the second time, Servette failed to deal with a ball flown into their area as a deft flick-on at the near post from Z.Christos was turned in by Nigerian international, Igoh Ogbu .

Igoh Ogbu goal was enough to seal Slavia Prague inconsistent win away from home in Europa games and get the team charged up for its derby fixture against Sparta Prague at the weekend.

Peter Ademo Is Happy With His Europa League Debut: ‘It Is A Dream Come True!’

Nigerian midfielder, Peter Ademo, has expressed his delight to mark a dream debut in the Prestigious UEFA Europa League as he lined up with Moldovan based side, Sheriff Tiraspol against Italian Serie A giants, AS Roma.

Ademo who joined Tiraspol in the summer transfer has been pivotal in the Sheriff Tiraspol team as he played a major role in Sheriff Tiraspol qualifying series.

Ademo took to his official Instagram handle to express his big feat after marking a place in the Pretigious UEL and against big Italian Serie A side, AS Roma

Participating in the UEL for second consecutive season, proved stubborn for AS Roma as they sit deep hoping to catch its opponents on counter attack whilst the visitors, AS Roma enjoyed possession .

Coach Jose Mourinho showed off class in closing minutes of added time in the first half as a long ball from a kick was deflected off Gabi Kiki via Mancini leaving the goalkeeper as an onlooker as the ball spun into the net.

Moments after restart, Ngom was the first to show Sheriff Tiraspol intents but sadly had its efforts flying over the cross bar.

Strong willed Sheriff Tiraspol finally got a break through as AS Roma C.Bryan failed to clear a corner which felled the part of Sheriff Tiraspol C.Tovar and the Colombian international made no mistake in converting the chance, bringing the score line all level.

The parity lasted for Eight minutes as AS Roma surged forward and reclaimed lead as Lukaku fired in for AS Roma after benefiting from Cristantes backheel pass.

Full time it was a big win for AS Roma to start the campaign on a front foot.

Nigerian Striker David Ankeye Delighted To Make UEFA Europa League Debut

Nigerian striker, David Ankeye has experienced his delight after marking his first UEFA Europa league debut as he featured in Sheriff Tiraspol 1-2 disappointing home loss to Italian Serie A giants, AS Roma.

The Nigerian international who joined Moldovan side, Sheriff Tiraspol from Tunis based side has been handful for the Moldovan giants and was handed a place to start off in the frontline for Sheriff Tiraspol.
