It was another exciting day of football across top leagues all over the world as teams strive to clinch laurels in the current domestic season.

In all games played on Wednesday, Nigerian stars were on parade for their various clubsides, offering and playing different roles for their various clubs success.

1. Tony Edjomariegwe (Al-Tadamon, Kuwait)
The Nigerian talisman spearheaded Al-Tadamon attack as they clinch a vital point against a diffcult Al-Kuwaiti side.

2. Anthony Okpotu (Al-Masry, Egypt)
The panther provided an assist in Al-Masry 2-2 stalemate against Arab contractors

3. John Okoli (Arab Contractors, Egypt)
The flying striker provided an assist for Arab Contractors first goal in their 2-2 draw against Al-Masry.

4. Paul Onuachu (Genk, Belgium)
The Nigerian Super Eagles star was on parade and played an important role to aid Genk advancement into the next stage of the Belgian cup.

5. Oghenekaro Etebo (Aris, Greece)
The box to box midfielder who lasted for all 90mins gave a good account of himself to help keep it solid in the middle of the park for Aris as they clinched a big Point away from home.

6. Jude Ighalo (Al Hilal Saudi Arabia)
Odion had a goal to his name in his side big win the Saudi Arabia cup.

7. Moses Simon (Nantes, France)
The high flying winger scored his side only goal in their 2-1 defeat against Lorient in a club friendly.

8. Victor Osimhen (Napoli, Italy)
The Napel striker fired blank against his former french based side, Lille in a club friendly.

Onyemaechi Bruno: Nigeria Super Eagles Defender Wins Boavista’s Best Player Award For March

Energetic and youthful Super Eagles defender, Bruno Onyemaechi, has been named Boavista Futebol Clube, Player of the Month for March after a series of standout performances for the club.

The young defender played a vital role in the team’s games against Arouca and Famalicao, making several crucial tackles, interceptions, and ground duels.

Despite Boavista’s 3-0 defeat to Sporting Lisbon, Onyemaechi showed great resilience and played a strong game in the team’s subsequent loss to Famalicao. His contributions on the offensive end, including accurate crosses and key passes, were also a key factor in the team’s performances throughout the month.

In addition to his club success, Onyemaechi’s impressive form was recognized with a call-up to the Nigerian national team for their back-to-back games against Guinea-Bissau in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Although he did not feature in either match, the call-up was a significant accomplishment for the 23-year-old defender.

Despite receiving his first international call-up in the lead-up to the friendly against Portugal in November, Onyemaechi is yet to make his debut for the Super Eagles

Nevertheless, his recent performances for Boavista have caught the attention of fans and scouts alike, and he will be eager to continue his impressive form as the team faces Maritimo in their upcoming match.

With the brace against Avenir Sportif de Soliman, David Akpan Ankeye thus has (4) league goals to his name.
