Nigeria U-20 stunned Italy U-20 with a 2-0 win in their FIFA U-20 World Cup group D matchday two clash on Wednesday May 24.

Second half goals from Salem Fago and Jude Sunday were enough to see the Flying Eagles fly past Italy`s Gli Azzurrini at the Estadio Malvinas Argentinas.

A drab first half saw both teams toil in vain search for the opening goal as it ended 0-0.

The early exchanges of the second half saw both teams share spells of possession until Nigeria carved out a chance for the breakthrough.

Emmanuel Umeh delivered a cross for Salem Fago to head home the opening goal of the match in the 61st minute.

Italy did pile pressure in search of an equalizer but the Daniel Bameyi marshalled defence was up to the task to repel their on-slaught.

The Flying Eagles then bagged a second to add gloss to a stunning result.

Jude Sunday finished off a Aniagboso assist deep into stoppage time to seal a 2-0 win for Nigeria.
