Highly rated Nigerian Striker, Sunday Megwo, has been one of the Nigeria 2022/2023 Abridge league season revelations after joining Umuahia based side, Abia Warriors during the second round transfer window.

In the books of his former Club side, Abia Comets, ever present Megwo was a ‘Demi God’ to the team, scoring and providing assists when needed most as he had played a pivotal role in the club sustaining its status in the Nigeria Second tier league.

A golden fish has no hiding place, Megwo exploits in the colors of Abia Comets never went unnoticed as the lanky center-forward was handed an invite to actualize his dream of playing in the Nigeria elite league.

Upon teaming up with the Umuahia Warriors, Megwo who is known for his sleek movements, deft touches and clinical goal scoring prowess played his way into the stars studded Abia Warriors First XI.

Among his back to back scilliating performances, the youngster finally scored his maiden league goal in Abia Warriors 3-0 win over Dakkada FC.

To add to his goal tally, the gangling Striker rightly positioned himself in box 6 to finish Bellow Lukman cut back to double Abia WARIORS lead at full time. His second league goal of the season

Emmanuel Onu 45th minute goal and Megwo half hour mark goal was enough to end the season for the warriors on a comfortable position.

If keeps cool head and keep developing rightly, Megwo has been tipped by Analyst and Pundits to be next superstar

Enugu Rangers International Football Club has qualified for this years final match of 2023 Tingo/Dozy MMobonusi sponsored Federation Cup. Rangers defeated her semi – final contenders, Plateau United Football Club of Jos by one goal to zero.

As the Rangers motor suggests, “through difficulty to heights”, Rangers passed through difficulties to this height they have found themselves. With the struggles from the Tingo preseason competition which she came last, to the League competition, Rangers narrowly survived the relegation to lower division for the first time since inception but today, has qualified for the finals of the oldest and biggest football competition in Nigeria.

The semi – final match played at the Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State was between Plateau United of Jos and Rangers International Football Club of Enugu. A Godwin Obaje’s penalty kick at 90+2 minutes when Philip Clement was brought down in Plateau’s 18 yard box in 89th minutes, was enough to send Rangers to the final match that will be between her and Bendel Insurance who progressed through penalty shootout after ending 0 – 0 (4 – 2) with Warrior Wolves.

According to Coach Abdu Maikaba, “I am very happy today having won my former club Plateau United. It was a had fought battle. We created so many scoring chances, but couldn’t convert any until we made a tactical change in second half. We were committing them in their 18 yard box and the result is what we are enjoying.”

Super Eagles defender, Adekunle Adeleke has remained optimistic of landing his first Nigeria topflight league title with Enyimba International when the Nigeria Professional Football League play-off kick-start.

Adekunle and his Enyimba International side made it through the Championship play-off as they garner the needed points to emerge second position below Bencel Insurance in the just concluded Abridged League Season.

Speaking from the team camp ahead of the team first game against Remo stars tomorrow, the rock-solid defender has thrown his weight behind his team as he believes they posses all is needed to be crowned NPFL Champions.

“The team is coming into the Super 6 with a more fitter team as many injured players has returned from their injury “
