Europe’s biggest club competitions, the Europa League and UEFA conference league returns tomorrow with over (10) games in the offing.

The two competitions will not be lacking Nigerian players, and as a result, Nigerian based journalist, Nwosu Chigozie (Chygoz) takes a look at Nigerian stars that will feature in Europe tomorrow.

1. Victor Boniface (Union Royale, Belgium)
With a brace in their 3-3 stalemate in Germany, Boniface will be hoping to help his side clinch a qualification into the last (8) of the competition in Belgium.

2. Samuel Chukwueze (Villarreal, Spain)


After a (1-1) draw in Belgium last week, Saamu and his Villarreal mates will hope to grab a win to ensure their places in the next round.

3. Abdulrazak Ishaq (Anderlecht, Belgium)
Nigerian ‘Golden Boy’ who sat out of the game in the first leg is expected to files out with the team when they face Spainish side, Villarreal at away in the second round of the fixture.

4. Terem Moffi (OG Nice, France)
Moffi who played a major in his side win in Moldova in the first leg will hope to come through with a goal when they face Sheriff Tiraspol in France

5. Rasheed Akanbi (Sheriff Tiraspol, Moldova)
The gangling talisman who wass a second half substitute in the first leg will hope to helped his side with goals after a disappointing (1-0) loss in the first leg.

6. Believe Atiemwen (Sheriff Tiraspol, Moldova)
Just like Rasheed Akanbi, Atiemwen will hope to be the Midfielder to look unto to deliver goals and assist for Sherriff Tiraspol against OG Nice.

7. Leke James (Sivasspor, Turkey)
Leke James who made a point in the first leg in Italy will be relied on by his side to get a goal haven been faced with an uphill task in Turkey in the game return leg.

8. Ahmed Musa (Sivasspor, Turkey)
The Super Eagles skipper is expected to line up with Sivasspor when they confront Fiorentina in the Conference League.

9. Uche Agbo (Slovan Bratislava, Slovakia)
Nigerian International, Uche Agbo is expected to be on the lines for Slovan Bratislava when they face,Swiss side, Basel away from home in the Europa Conference League.

10. Rabiu Ibrahim (Slovan Bratislava, Slovakia)
If fully fit, Rabiu Ibrahim will be deployed into the middle of the park as Slovan Bratislava eyes a win win against Basel.

Super Eagles Defender Bruno Onyemaechi Makes Liga Portugal Team of The Week

Nigeria international Bruno Onyemaechi has been named in the Liga Portugal Team of The Week for match-day 25 following an impressive performance despite his side disappointing home defeat.

Onyemaechi who played from the left back position was the cynosure of all eyes as he was rugged defensively and a menace to the opponent’s backline offensively.

Ibrahim Olawoyin Makes Turkish TFF First League Team of The Week

Nigeria international Ibrahim Olawoyin has been named in the TFF First League Team of The Week for match-day 27 following an impressive performance that inspired Çaykur Rizespor Kulübü to a resounding 3-1 home win against Altay Spor Kulübü.

Olawoyin was the major catalyst as the Karadeniz Atmacası claimed a convincing 3-1 win at Yeni Rize Şehir Stadium on Saturday.

The In-Form Nigerian was handed a deserving start in the starting XI by Bülent Korkmaz and he went ahead to hug headlines following his stellar performance in the game.

Super Eagles camp bubbles with 19 players Following Bruno Onyemaechi’s arrivals

The Nigeria Super Eagle’s camp bubbled and has its numbers of players increase to (19) with the arrival of Boavista Futebol Clube defender, Bruno Onyemaechi as well as other invited foreign pros ahead of the team all important fixture against Guinea-Bissau side.

In a bid to book a place in the AFCON, the Nigeria Super Eagle’s will be engaging in a doubleheader Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Guinea-Bissau later this month

The Super Eagles will play the first leg at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja on March 24 with the second leg taking place three days later at the 24 de Setembro Nacional Stadium.

In view of the important fixture, Nigeria Super Eagles gaffer, José Peseiro, have listed (24) players to execute the two legged qualifiers series.
