The quest for greener pastures has seen Nigerian born players leave the shores of the Country for a better life in the round leather game across European and Scandinavia countries.

These Nigerian born and eligible players are no doubts making and flying the Country flag at a high with outstanding performances with their various clubs.

These highly talented footballers of Nigeria descent no doubts needs to be given a pat on the back for their exploits with a place in the National team.

Below are Ten little known Nigerian eligible players who are ripe and deserves a place in the Nigerian Super Eagles team.

1. Olisa Ndah (Orlando Pirate, South Africa)
The rock solid defender has shown his exploits in the Nigeria professional football league wasn’t a fluke as he has maintained the standard in the South African top-flight league with his side, Orlando Pirate.

The former U23 star is one player who has shown class and consistency and is over riped for the Super Eagles team.

2. Samuel Adegbenro (Norrkoping, Sweden)
With 17 goals and Counting in the Swedish Allevenkan league. Samuel has proven to be a lethal striker who can be a great addition to the Nigeria Super Eagles team ahead of the Competition’s billed for next year.

3. Ezikiel Henty (Slovan Bratislava, Slovakia)
The striker has been consistent with his goal scoring form in the Slovakian top-flight league as he leads the highest goal chart with 9 goals.

4. Ademola Lookman (Leicester City, England)
The Nigerian eligible striker is over due to don the Green-White-Green colour as his performances has proven him worthy.

5. Stephen Odey (Randers, Denmark)
The former Nigeria professional football league highest goal scorer has been consistent in the Dannish league and ranks amongst the players due for the National team.

6. Bruno Sopuruchukwu (CD Feriense, Portugal)
The energetic utility playmaker is one play needed in the Nigeria Senior National team. Bruno ability to play in more than one position makes him a huge assest.

7. Igoh Ogbu (Lillestrom Norway)
The Norwegian based defender has been consistent for two seasons with Lillestrom, a top-flight team in the Norway.

8. Jackson Ipalibo (Stromgodset, Norway)
The Midfield maestro can effectively to a large extent solve the midfield issue in the current Super Eagles squad. Since joining Stromgodset on a permanent deal from Villareal, Ipalibo has unleashed his rare talent.

9. Opara Onyebuchi (Oulu, Finland)
The free scoring right full back who ended the Finnish season with four goals is riped to represent the Super Eagles team, his performances from his days in Latvia and Finland has proven.

10. Ebenezer Okezie (Zimbru Chisinu, Moldova)
The left full back has taken the Moldova top-flight league by storm and already has 3 goals and Counting in the current season. Okezie is one player who can comfortably give the much needed stability in the left back position in the Super Eagles team.

Nigeria Striker, Leke James Bags Degree In Business Management

Nigeria forward, Leke Samson James, has completed his Business and Sports Management course at the, University of Hertfordshire in United Kingdom.

James follows in the footstep of former Nigeria International, Seyi Olofinjana, Nigeria Super Eagles midfielder, Ndidi Wilfred as well as Nigeria Super Falcons duo of Rasheedat Ajibade and Uchenna Kanu. who bagged degrees in same discipline.

He started out his career in his native homeland playing for Bridge Boys.

He transferred to Aalesund on 6 January 2012,

On 26 July 2012 he made his first appearance for Aalesund coming on as a substitute at the start of the second half of the game versus Tirana in Europe League scoring twice in Aalesund’s 5–0 win. On 29 July 2012 he made his debut in Tippeligaen and also started his first match, against Stabæk.

Between 2016 and 2017 he played for Chinese club Beijing Enterprises Group in China League One.

On 30 April 2018, Molde FK announced the signing of James on a three-year contract.[2] He got his Molde debut on 26 July 2018 when he came on as a 67th minute substitute in Molde’s 3–0 win against Laçi in the 2018–19 UEFA Europa League second qualifying round. James scored Molde’s third goal in the game

On June 2019, James scored a perfect hat-trick in the first half in Molde’s 4–0 away win against Strømsgodset.[3]He scored with his right foot, left foot and his head and completed his hat-trick in 13 minutes and 45 seconds. On 11 July 2019.

After a short spell in the Saudi Pro League, James joined Süper Lig club Sivasspor on a two-year on 14 July 2021.[6]

On 30 December 2021, James scored two goals in Sivasspor’s 2–1 win over MKE Ankaragücü in the fifth round of the Turkish Cup.[7] Sivasspor would eventually defeat Kayserispor in the final to secure the club its first major honour.[8]

Bulgarian Cup: Ukaki Success Shines In Botev Plovdiv Quarter-Finals Win.

Promising Nigerian youngster, Success Ukaki came through with another top performance in the colors of Bulgarian outfit, Botev Plovdiv, as he shone like a million stars in the keenly contested quarter-finals fixture between Botev Plovdiv and Spartak Varna in the Bulgarian cup.

Arriving from FDC Vista, Ukaki within a short term has continued to garner minutes of action under his belt as he delivered excellently haven started against Spartak Varna in the Bulgarian Cup quarterfinals.

Playing from Right-wing back position, Ukaki was a menace down the channels as he was a major threat offensively and still kept it solid defensively.

Ukaki and his Botev Plovdiv side squared up for a tricky clash in the quarter finals of the Bulgarian cup haven been drawn to trade tackles with Spartak Varna.

Spartak Varna has their quest for glory put to a litmus test haven been drawn to face top ranking Botev Plovdiv side away from home in the quarterfinals.

First half of the exciting fixture had Botev Plovdiv establishing a 1-0 lead at half time courtesy of Nigerian striker, Samuel Akere 22nd minute goal.

On return for the second half, Akere continued from where he stopped and this time provided assist for Popov.I 72nd minute goal which doubled Botev Plovdiv lead.

Spartak Varna fought back only to get a consolation goal which wasn’t enough to cause upset for Botev Plovdiv
