The Niger Tornadoes centre back and Sporting Eleven FC youth product who is also comfortable operating as a Central Defensive Midfielder is already attracting interests and enquiries from clubs in the Turkish, Serbian and Austrian league.

The player who made a number of appearances for Niger Tornadoes in the recently concluded NPFL season says he is more than excited to be on the radar of a number of European clubs and he will consider it as reward for good performance but believes his Agency, Remix Sport Management will do everything in its power to facilitate and conclude a good deal for him to move to the European league this summer.

In his words, “I am highly elated to be on the radar of a number of European club sides, although as of this moment, nothing is concluded but I trust my Agency, Remix Sport Management to do the needful and conclude negotiations that will enable me move to a European league side this summer. It is the dream of every player to play in the European league and I am hoping for me the dream will be realised this season” concluded the former Kwara Football Academy and Sporting Eleven FC product

Ghanaian Centre Back, Mintah Bernard Owusu has stated that he is more than excited to have made a significant contribution to the survival of Bayelsa United in relegation battle in the NPFL.

The Yenegoa based side survived relegation and recorded a 2-0 win over Niger Tornadoes on the last day of the league and Mintah says he is highly elated just like every other team mates to have played a crucial part in the team’s survival.

Bayelsa United finished 7th on the Group B log with 21 points, winning 6 games, drawing 6 games and also losing 6 games

Nigeria U-17: Ugbade to leave role following 2023 U-17 AFCON quater-final loss

Nigeria U-17 Head Coach Nduka Ugbade will leave his role with the team following their 2023 U-17 AFCON loss to Burkina Faso.

The Eaglets fell 1-2 to Burkina Faso and will miss the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup as consequence.

Ugbade`s exit according to Brila is in line with a target in the NFF contract with the coaches which makes qualification for the World Cup as parameter for their continued stay on the job.

Following the 2023 U-17 AFCON quater-final loss, Ugbade and his technical crew have fallen short of the target and so will not continue on the job.

The Nigeria Football Federation is yet to comment since the country`s ouster and so no official communication to this effect has been made.
