Stephen Eze Set To Rejoin Kano Pillars

Former Nigerian Super Eagles rock solid defender, Stephen Eze, is set to make a return to the Nigeria professional football league as negotiation are on-going for his return to rejoin Kano Pillars.

The 28year old tall lanky defender, Stephen Eze, arrived the ‘Pyramid City’ on Saturday and is expected to conclude the necessary formalities which will see him don the Jersey of the Kano based outfit next season.

The hard tackling center back ranks amongst the players on request by Kano Pillars new gaffer, Coach Salisu Yusuf, who worked with the central defender during his stint with the Nigeria Senior National team.

Born on 8 March 1994, Eze started his professional career at Lobi Stars. He played regularly during two seasons, before moving to Sunshine Stars in September 2014.

After two seasons with Sunshine, Eze joined Ifeanyi Ubah where he won Nigeria Super Cup in early 2017 before joining Kano Pillars On 9 November 2017.

After a short stint with the Nigeria professional football league champions, Kano Pillars, Eze joined Bulgarian First League club Lokomotiv Plovdiv, signing a two-year contract and went ahead to make an official appearance for the Bulgarian side as a substitute against Pirin Blagoevgrad, .

After a successful stint with the Bulgarian side, Eze joined Kazakhstan Premier League club outfit, FC Tobol tho never got to make an appearance for the team owing to a complicated injury.

The big centre back last plied his trade with Indian based side, Jamshedpur, from where he returned to revive his dwindling career with Nigeria professional football league outfit, Kano Pillars.

ABIA Warriors Vs Remo Stars: CEO Banana Island Offers Free Bus To Fans On Sunday

The Banana Island CEO, Mr Francis Chilaka, will provide free bus to Abia Warriros fans, who come out en mass to support the team as they host Remo Stars Football Club at the Enyimba FC Stadium on Sunday.

Following the Umuahia township stadium ban by the League Organizers, the Umuahia based will welcome the ‘Sky Blue Stars’ in their temporary home stadium in Aba in one of the Matchday 20 fixtures billed for the weekend.

“Playing away from your traditional home ground can be difficult in football but we’re planning to make it a home away from home for the Abia Warriros with our usual support”

“The free bus will ensure the fans will be on the stands to cheer the team this will be added advantage for the team playing at its temporary home ground”

“Efforts has been made by the Club Chairman, Chief John Obuh, to return the team back to Umuahia soonest as their has been steady progress in work on the playing turf as well on the stadium environs”

“Before we return back to Umuahia, the team needs to bounce back to winning ways and that’s why the fans will be present to ginger their spirit “ he concluded.

Mr. Francis Chilaka who doubles as a Board member of the Abia Warriors management has been in the frontline in ensuring massive support for the Umuahia warlords as he offers different kinds of moral and financial support to the Abia Warriors team.

Amongst the contingent moving from Umuahia to Aba for the crunchy fixture is Chairman Abia State House Member on Sports, Hon. Chinasa Abiola, as well as other well meaning Abians.

When the games gets underway in ABA on Sunday, Abia Warriros who lost to Remo Stars on Matchday 19 will be out to make up for the lost points when the trade tackles on Matchday 20 in the first game of the league second round.

NPFL Youth League: The Abia Warriors Boys Were Brave Enough- Francis Chilaka

Abia Warriors Board member and football enthusiast, Francis Chilaka, has thumbed up Abia Warrior’s Under-17 lads for their bravery following their 2-2 stalemate against city neighbors, Enyimba International Under-17, in it’s first game in the South-East, zone of the on-going NPFL youth league in Enugu State.

The popular philanthropist and business guru who has been in the Coal City with the team affirmed the boys resilience which earned the team a point in the keenly contested fixture.

“It’s a derby game and the fixture lived up to it’s billing as the two young lads displayed their football artistry”

“Kudos to the boys, Abia Warriros, for their efforts as there is more room for improvement going into the next game”

In the excited fixture which ended in a stalemate, Abia Warriors side were the side who stole the show as they came with a late goal to steal headline in the fixture watched by NPFL dignitaries.

To earn the South-East slot to the National level, Abia Warriors Under-17 in it’s subsequent games will trade tackless with Heartland, Rangers Under-17 sides

Rangers International F.C. Witnesses Impressive Turnout of Young Football Talents at Open Screening Event

Rangers International F.C. recently organized a remarkable open screening exercise to scout for exceptional young talents to join their U-13, U-15, and U-17 teams. Held at the picturesque Rangers Training Pitch, located in Liberty Estate, Independence Layout, Enugu, on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, the event attracted an astounding turnout of over two hundred aspiring football stars.

The screening session was graced by esteemed personalities, including Ejike Uzoenyi (MON), a renowned FIFA World Cup star, as well as former team captains Okey Odita and Chibuzor Madu. The legendary Coach John Edeh, along with Coach Basil Obeta and other dedicated personnel from the club’s management, also supervised the event.

Barrister Amobi Ezeaku, the elated G.M/CEO of Rangers, expressed his heartfelt congratulations to all the young footballers who participated in the exercise. He extended his gratitude to the supportive parents and guardians who encouraged their children to showcase their innate talents during the screening.

It was truly an exciting day filled with promising football prospects, and Rangers International F.C. eagerly looks forward to unveiling the exceptional talents that emerged from this exceptional event.

Ejike Uzoenyi, who supervised the open screening exercise on behalf of the coaching team, expressed his admiration for Rangers International F.C.’s forward-thinking approach. Drawing from his experiences playing football in numerous countries, Uzoenyi commended the club’s management for adopting a methodology commonly practiced worldwide. He was thrilled by the vast number of talented individuals identified during the session and expressed his optimism for discovering even more in the upcoming sessions.

Due to time constraints, some aspiring footballers were unable to be evaluated during the initial screening. To ensure fairness and provide opportunities for all, the exercise will resume on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, starting promptly at 10:00 A.M. This allows the remaining participants to showcase their skills and potentially be considered for the next phase, bringing them one step closer to becoming a part of the esteemed Rangers team.
