Opeyemi Monsuru: Nigeria U23 Ace Scores To End Season On A High

Nigeria International, Opeyemi Monsuru ended the current Portuguese Liga Revelação U-23 season a high following his goal in F.C. Vizela under-23 1-2 home defeat to Benfica U23.

The talented midfielder who was part of the Nigeria U17 and U23 National team sides has been in incredible form for F.C. Vizela under-23 in the campaign setting up assists and scoring goals to help the team.

Upon his National U23 invite, the midfield maestro was the cynosure of all eyes in the qualifiers series as he maintained class which made him stand out.

F.C. Vizela under-23 were faced with a big test on Matchday 10 haven drawn to face Benfica U23 side in its last game of the season.

Benfica U23 side who battled for relegation were faced with an uphill task been drawn to face fellow relegation threatened side,F.C. Vizela under-23.

First half of the game produced no goals as the two sides were comfortable testing Strength in the middle of the park.

Benfica U23 side were the first to break the deadlock at the at the 70th minute from the spot.

Nigeria International, Monsuru Opeyemi came through with an equaliser at the 90th but unfortunately had his goal cancelled off following Benfica U23 90+5 minute goal to bring final scoreline to 1-2

    Nigerian defender, Ohale Osinachi, has sent strong warnings to South Africa ahead of the Women’s Olympic FIFA World Cup play-off against South Africa later this month as she expertly commanded C.F. Pachuca Femenil backline to clinch a 4-0 win against Santos Laguna (w) on a clean-sheet in one of the fixtures played in the Mexican Femenil earlier today.

    The rock-solid defender with her experience and calmness in play is believed to help the Nigeria Super Falcons outplay South Africa to clinch one of the spots for Paris Women Olympics.
