18 year old Brooke House College Football Academy UK product Jerry Pius Omeke has been the shining light in what can be described as a slow start for his Lithuanian 1 Lyga club FK Ekranas Panevezys.

After their exploits last season, Ekranas have not exactly lit up the league this season but one bright spot in their season is the industry of Omeke as he tears opposition defences with his searing pace and trickery on the right flank.

Revealing this to nigeriasportsnews.com, Mr. Samuel Ogbah of Activity Chambers Sports Management Ltd, the player’s agency, said Jerry has been the best player in EKranas so far this season and his performances have not gone unnoticed as many clubs are interested in him.

‘Jerry is playing as a right winger at the moment but he is also very comfortable in central midfield’, Mr. Ogbah said. Despite the poor results of his team he has put on Man of the Match displays every time he steps on the pitch and this has attracted the attention of many clubs but he is committed to his contract at Ekranas and will continue to give 100% everytime he steps out for Ekranas.

EKranas is Jerry’s first professional club and Mr Ogbah says the plan is for him to emulate the footsteps of Terem Moffi and go all the way to the top. ‘Like Terem Moffi, Jerry studied and trained in a UK private school and moved to Lithuania for his first taste of professional football. He has the potential to follow the big footsteps of Terem and I am sure he will by God’s grace. This season already he has scored two goals and has three assists. The future is really bright. I know he will explode very soon.’
