Olawoyin Ibrahim: Çaykur Rizespor Lands Nigerian International From Ankara Keçiörengücü

Turkish topflight league giants, Çaykur Rizespor Kulübü has completed the transfer of Nigerian international, Ibrahim Olawoyin from Turkish second tier outfit, Ankara Keçiörengücü SK.

Born on 1 December 1997, 25-year-old then unheralded Ibrahim Olawoyin rose to prominence after signing the dotted for Umuahia, Nigeria based side, Abia Comets in 2017.

Scoring 7 goals in 40apperance for the NNL side, Ibrahim Olawoyin teamed up with Abia Comets sister club, Abia Warriors, team campaigning in the Nigerian topflight league in 2019.

After playing his first-ever game in the Nigerian Professional Football League on January 13, 2019 for his former side Abia Warriors, highly rated Olawoyin went ahead to start twenty-one out of the twenty-two games in that season’s abridged league. Olawoyin scored three goals for Warriors in the league that season.

The sensational winger Olawoyin Ibrahim, consistency attracted interests from top Nigeria professional football league teams but later opted to settle with Enugu based side, Rangers International in 2019.

Replicating his Abia Warriors form with the Antelopes, Olawoyin made 43 apperances in the colours of Rangers International scoring 10 important goals.

After his stint in the local scene, Olawoyin landed in Turkey were here teamed up Ankara Keçiörengücü were he turned the cynosure of all eyes in the second tier side.

After a blissful season with Ankara Keçiörengücü, the winger moved to Çaykur Rizespor Kulübü where he would be teaming up with fellow Compatriot, Azubuike Okechukwu.

    Nigerian defender, Ohale Osinachi, has sent strong warnings to South Africa ahead of the Women’s Olympic FIFA World Cup play-off against South Africa later this month as she expertly commanded C.F. Pachuca Femenil backline to clinch a 4-0 win against Santos Laguna (w) on a clean-sheet in one of the fixtures played in the Mexican Femenil earlier today.

    The Super Falcons are set to take on South Africa in a two-match series, with the initial encounter slated for April 5 at the MKO Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.

    The return leg is slated for April 9 at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria.

    The winner of the tie will clinch one of Africa’s two tickets to the Women’s Olympic Football Tournament.

    Ohale who joined Pachuca Femenil at the beginning of the year has continued to stamp authority in the heart of Pachuca Femenil with handful of clean sheets under her belt.

    The rock-solid defender with her experience and calmness in play is believed to help the Nigeria Super Falcons outplay South Africa to clinch one of the spots for Paris Women Olympics.
