Trelleborgs FF youngster , Abel Ogwuche, was in his usual calm and calculating element as he ranks as one of the critical player in the Nigeria Flying Eagles team which earned the team a deserving win against Argentina in the current FIFA U-20 World Cup.

The 19-year-old Trelleborgs FF defender was a key player in the heart of the Flying Eagles backline, putting his body on the line to ensure a win and a clean sheet.

On numerous occasions, Abel Ogwuche, used his bullish nature and athleticism to cover up the defensive lapses of the Flying Eagles team and never for a second lost concentration.

Commanding the backline expertly, the center-back acted as a coverage for every of the team defenders and was hard to be eliminated on 1v1 situations.

Nigeria Under-20 star, Nnadi Tochukwu, has relished his World Cup experience describing the outing as the best moment of his career.

Joining the Coach Ladan Bosso tutored side for the Under-20 World Cup as one of the invited foreign pros, the Botev Plovdiv midfielder unarguably justified his inclusion with a top performance.

Currently holidaying in Nigeria, the midfielder maestro expressed his delight for the privilege to represent his country.

“Ranks as one of the best moment of career, it was a dream come through and vowed to make the moment and opportunity count”

Flying Eagles defender Ogwuche identifies reason for South Korea loss

Sweden based Flying Eagles defender Abel Ogwuche in a short message has identified reason Nigeria lost to South Korea to exit the U-20 World Cup.

One of the Flying Eagles players to have featured from start to finish in every game, Ogwuche was key in defence as Nigeria marched to the quater-final of the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

Against South Korea, Ogwuche and his teammates dominated proceedings for the 120 minutes long game but fell to a rare chance converted by the Taegurk warriors.

In a tweet on his Twitter handle @AbelOgwuche5, the Trellborg of Sweden defender identified reason their 21 shots on goal all failed to hit the target.

He wrote ” It was not our day , but better days coming, We coming back stronger “

The loss ended their World Cup journey which featured stunning performances vs Italy and Argentina.

Ogwuche and few other players had done enough to woo scouts of top European side and who will be on their trail as they leave Argentina.
