It has been exciting times in the Nigeria professional football league transfer window as their has been massive movement of players and Coaches from Nigeria professional football league teams to another.

Teams have broken banks to acquire the services of top talents in the league as they bolster their squad in view of the 2020/2021 Nigeria professional football league.

Below are the top transfers of Coaches and players to different destinations in the current Nigeria professional football league transfer market


1. Findi George (Enyimba Int’l, Aba)

The former Ajax and Real Betis returned home to contribute to the growth and development of the Nigeria professional football league as he joined Nigerian most successful Clubside, Enyimba Int’l, on a two years contract.

‘Finito occupied the vacant position of Coach Fatai Osho, who was relieved of his duties after the 2019/2020 Nigeria professional football league season.

2.Eddie Dombraye (Lobi Stars, Makurdi)

The former Nigeria international who was based in Europe followed the footsteps of Findi George as he returned home to take up appointment to lead Nigeria professional football league Campaigners, Lobi Stars.

3. Gbenga Ogunbote (Remo Stars, Sagamu)

The ‘oracle’ faced worst days of his career last term as Akure based outfit, Sunshine Stars, nearly dropped to the second tier league under his watchful eyes which led to his resignation.

The former Enyimba and Rangers gaffer is back in the Nigerian topflight league as he will be leading newly promoted side, Remo Stars, in the 2020/2021 season .

4. Fidelis llechukwu (Plateau United, Jos)

The working one will have a feel of a new club when league actions resumes as he joined Jos based side, Plateau United after throwing in the towel in Heartland.

5. Kabiru Dogo (Wikki Tourist, Bauchi)

The former Sunshine Stars gaffer who lead Lobi Stars last term in the Nigeria professional football league has teamed up with Bauchi based outfit, Wikki Tourist,

Dogo in search of a new experience mutually parted with the Makurdi based side to join Wikki Tourist.

6. Salisu Yusuf (Kano Pillars, Kano)

The former Super Eagles coach returned home to take up the Job of leading the ‘Masiu Gida’ when the Nigeria professional football league season comes alive.


Players Weren’t left out in the massive movement in the current Nigeria professional football league transfer weekend.

1. Adekunle Adeleke (Abia Warriors-Enyimba)
The Nigerian international will be doning the Jersey of the two times African Champions after completing the transfer from Abia Warriors to Enyimba.

2. Fatai Abdullahi (Abia Warriors-Enyimba)
The midfielder enforcer surprisingly ended his long time marriage with Umuahia based outfit, Abia Warriors to join Abia Warriors bitter rivals, Enyimba Int’l.

3. Stone Samuel (Jigawa- Enyimba)
The former Kano Pillars striker joined the People’s elephant after his former side, Jigawa, relegated to the second tier league.

4. Emotan Cletus (Rivers United-Abia Warriors)

The petit Midfielder after years with Rivers State based side, Rivers United, opted for a new challenge as he signed a two years contract with Umuahia based side, Abia Warriors.

5. Kalu Nweke (Kwara United-Abia Warriors)
The Midfielder returned to his boyhood club after a successful two season’s campaign with Ilorin based side, Kwara United. Nweke .

6. Okiemute Odah (Rivers United-Abia Warriors)
The former Lobi Stars goalkeeper returned back to the local scene after years of successful spell in Saudi Arabia topflight league to join ambitious Abia Warriors side.

7. Godspower Aniefiok (Rangers-Akwa United)
Tower made a return to his boyhood club after a two years stint with Enugu State based side, Rangers International.

8. Wasiu Alalade (Kwara United- Akwa United)
Following the exit of Akwa United lethal striker, Charles Atshimene, Akwa United struggled with other top league side to land the former Nigeria junior international.

9. Isaac George (Dakkada-Akwa United)
After an exciting display in the league with Dakkada last season, the winger shockingly switched side to join Dakkada city neighbours, Akwa United.

10. Ebube Duru x John Lazarus(Lobi-Rivers United)

The two Lobo stars players will be donning the Jersey of Rivers United after agreeing terms with the oil Rich Rivers State based side.

11. Ali Mallam x Nyim Nwagwa (Kano Pillars-Rivers United)
The two players who were instrumental to the Kano based team signed up for Rivers United as they have gone ahead to campaign in CAF champions league with the Rivers based team.

12. Sharp Uzoigwe (FCIU-Rivers United)
After 5years with the Nnewi Warriors, the shot stopper will be donning the Jersey of Rivers United side following his former side relegation.

13. Alex Agahawo x Samuel Mathias (Lobi Stars- Plateau United)
The two midfield pair of Lobi stars has officially signed and unveiled by the Jos based team as they will player under the ‘Working one’s.

14. Ruben Bala (Enyimba-Plateau United)
After a sweet-and-sour campaign with Enyimba Int’l, the high flying winger has officially completed a big transfer to his former side, Plateau United.

15. Abiodun Adebayor (Enyimba-Niger Tornadoes)
The former Enyimba rock solid defender had a big move to new boys camp, Niger Tornadoes, after a failed negotiation for a contract renewal with the people’s elephant.

16. Destiny Ashadi (Rivers United-Niger Tornadoes)
The midfield maestro joined the camp of new boys, Niger Tornadoes, after an unsuccessful spell with Rivers United.

17. Samad Kadiri (Enyimba-Kwara United)
The striker after an unproductive spell with the Aba based outfit, the striker has completed the move to Kwara United.

18. Chinedu Udeagha (Wikki Tourist-Kwara United)
The midfield maestro owing to playing times has completed a transfer to Kwara United.

19. Benjamin Ozor x Chigozie Chilekwu (Lobo stars-Sunshine Stars)
The Experienced defender made a return to his boyhood club, Sunshine Stars along side teammate, Chigozie Chilekwu.

20. Ufere Chinedu (Kwara United-Lobi Stars)
The attacking Midfielder has teamed up with Lobo stars after a sweet-and-sour campaign with Kwara United.

Seamoriow FC Shines Bright in Thrilling Victory Against Leads United FC.



In a gripping showdown at the Seamoriow Sports Complex earlier today, Seamoriow FC once again showcased their prowess on the field, clinching a sensational 4-3 triumph over Leads United FC.

The match, marked by breathtaking goals and intense moments, kept fans from the neighbourhood who saw the game on the edge of their seats until the final whistle.

The action-packed encounter saw Seamoriow’s Paul Salako setting the tone early with a stunning goal in the 15th minute, swiftly followed by Saka’s precise strike from a low angled shot in the 20th minute. Akinjide Johnson further fueled the team’s momentum with a good finish in the 29th minute, leaving the opposition reeling. Despite a valiant effort from Leads United FC, Adeshina Lekan’s penalty in the 62nd minute sealed the victory for Seamoriow FC.

Reacting to the exhilarating win, the Chairman/Proprietor of Seamoriow FC expressed immense pride in the team’s performance, stating, “We are thrilled by this victory, which is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our players. ABIA Warriors Vs Remo Stars: CEO Banana Island Offers Free Bus To Fans On Sunday



The Banana Island CEO, Mr Francis Chilaka, will provide free bus to Abia Warriros fans, who come out en mass to support the team as they host Remo Stars Football Club at the Enyimba FC Stadium on Sunday.

Following the Umuahia township stadium ban by the League Organizers, the Umuahia based will welcome the ‘Sky Blue Stars’ in their temporary home stadium in Aba in one of the Matchday 20 fixtures billed for the weekend.

“Playing away from your traditional home ground can be difficult in football but we’re planning to make it a home away from home for the Abia Warriros with our usual support”

“The free bus will ensure the fans will be on the stands to cheer the team this will be added advantage for the team playing at its temporary home ground”

“Efforts has been made by the Club Chairman, Chief John Obuh, to return the team back to Umuahia soonest as their has been steady progress in work on the playing turf as well on the stadium environs”

“Before we return back to Umuahia, the team needs to bounce back to winning ways and that’s why the fans will be present to ginger their spirit “ he concluded.

Mr. Francis Chilaka who doubles as a Board member of the Abia Warriors management has been in the frontline in ensuring massive support for the Umuahia warlords as he offers different kinds of moral and financial support to the Abia Warriors team.

Amongst the contingent moving from Umuahia to Aba for the crunchy fixture is Chairman Abia State House Member on Sports, Hon. Chinasa Abiola, as well as other well meaning Abians.

When the games gets underway in ABA on Sunday, Abia Warriros who lost to Remo Stars on Matchday 19 will be out to make up for the lost points when the trade tackles on Matchday 20 in the first game of the league second round.

NPFL Youth League: The Abia Warriors Boys Were Brave Enough- Francis Chilaka



Abia Warriors Board member and football enthusiast, Francis Chilaka, has thumbed up Abia Warrior’s Under-17 lads for their bravery following their 2-2 stalemate against city neighbors, Enyimba International Under-17, in it’s first game in the South-East, zone of the on-going NPFL youth league in Enugu State.

The popular philanthropist and business guru who has been in the Coal City with the team affirmed the boys resilience which earned the team a point in the keenly contested fixture.

“It’s a derby game and the fixture lived up to it’s billing as the two young lads displayed their football artistry”

“Kudos to the boys, Abia Warriros, for their efforts as there is more room for improvement going into the next game”

In the excited fixture which ended in a stalemate, Abia Warriors side were the side who stole the show as they came with a late goal to steal headline in the fixture watched by NPFL dignitaries.

To earn the South-East slot to the National level, Abia Warriors Under-17 in it’s subsequent games will trade tackless with Heartland, Rangers Under-17 sides
