Nigerian Striker Orban Delivers Gift For Grateful Gent

Sensational Nigerian striker, Gift Orban, scored the fastest hattrick ever in Men’s UEFA competition for Belgian side KAA Gent, as they ended a run of seven matches in Europe away from home without a victory to breeze beyond Istanbul Basaksehir and into the last eight of the Europa Conference League.

After scoring (4) goals at the weekend in KAA Gent big win over Zulte Waregem, Nigerian star, Orban Gift was handed another start in their crucial game against Turkish side, Istanbul Basaksehir.

Haven played out a draw in the first league in Belgium, Istanbul Basaksehir hoped to finish up the game with a win when they face KAA Gent in the second leg in Turkey.

After been held to a (1-1) draw against Istanbul Basaksehir at home in the first leg, KAA Gent were poised for a positive result when they face, Istanbul Basaksehir away from home.

Nigerian striker, Orban Gift, got the first goal of the game with just a minute pass the half hour mark as he slotted in, Hong.SV assist.

After a minute, Orban dashed Istanbul Basaksehir hopes of progression as he doubled KAA Gent at the 32nd minute.

Red-hot Orban completed a hattrick at the 34th minute after he feasted on a rebound to fire and stretch his side lead.

Rampaging KAA Gent went ahead to register another goal to bring the half time result to 4-0.

In the second half, Istanbul Basaksehir strived and pulled a goal back but wasn’t enough to stop KAA Gent.

Nigeria international Bruno Onyemaechi has been named in the Liga Portugal Team of The Week for match-day 25 following an impressive performance despite his side disappointing home defeat.

Onyemaechi who played from the left back position was the cynosure of all eyes as he was rugged defensively and a menace to the opponent’s backline offensively.

Nigeria international Ibrahim Olawoyin has been named in the TFF First League Team of The Week for match-day 27 following an impressive performance that inspired Çaykur Rizespor Kulübü to a resounding 3-1 home win against Altay Spor Kulübü.

Olawoyin was the major catalyst as the Karadeniz Atmacası claimed a convincing 3-1 win at Yeni Rize Şehir Stadium on Saturday.

Super Eagles camp bubbles with 19 players Following Bruno Onyemaechi’s arrivals

The Nigeria Super Eagle’s camp bubbled and has its numbers of players increase to (19) with the arrival of Boavista Futebol Clube defender, Bruno Onyemaechi as well as other invited foreign pros ahead of the team all important fixture against Guinea-Bissau side.

In a bid to book a place in the AFCON, the Nigeria Super Eagle’s will be engaging in a doubleheader Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Guinea-Bissau later this month

The Super Eagles will play the first leg at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja on March 24 with the second leg taking place three days later at the 24 de Setembro Nacional Stadium.

In view of the important fixture, Nigeria Super Eagles gaffer, José Peseiro, have listed (24) players to execute the two legged qualifiers series.
