Nedbank Cup: Chibuike Ohizu’s Strike Advance Sekhukhune United Into Next Round

Nigerian striker, Chibuike Ohizu, carried over his league scoring form into the prestigious Nedbank Cup as he scored his side winning goal to aid them in advancing into next stage of the competition.

The Unheralded Nigerian has been outstanding for South African side Sekhukhune United F.C playing important roles in the team recent form.

Sekhukhune United F.C continued their quest for domestic glory with a game against fellow topflight league campaigners, Chippa United.

Chippa United who has been in good form in recent times were faced with a huge task haven been drawn to face Sekhukhune United F.C in the Nedbank Cup.

Sekhukhune United F.C side were the first to score in the game off Mokwana 1st minute early goal.

Chippa United grew in confidence afterwards and got a goal as a reply off the boots of its Nigerian striker, Godspower Etiosa at the 17th minute.

Towards the half time break, Ohizu re-established Sekhukhune United F.C lead heading back to the locker room.

On return for the second half, with no goals scored, Ohizu goal was all Sekhukhune United F.C needed to advance in the Nedbank Cup

    Nigerian defender, Ohale Osinachi, has sent strong warnings to South Africa ahead of the Women’s Olympic FIFA World Cup play-off against South Africa later this month as she expertly commanded C.F. Pachuca Femenil backline to clinch a 4-0 win against Santos Laguna (w) on a clean-sheet in one of the fixtures played in the Mexican Femenil earlier today.

    The Super Falcons are set to take on South Africa in a two-match series, with the initial encounter slated for April 5 at the MKO Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.

    The return leg is slated for April 9 at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria.

    The winner of the tie will clinch one of Africa’s two tickets to the Women’s Olympic Football Tournament.

    Ohale who joined Pachuca Femenil at the beginning of the year has continued to stamp authority in the heart of Pachuca Femenil with handful of clean sheets under her belt.
