English Premier League Campaigners, Liverpool, bagged another convincing win in the current season against, Aston Villa, in one of Matchday (16) fixtures played yesterday in the EPL.

After a long while, Liverpool legend, Steven Gerrard, made a return to his boyhood club but this time as a ‘Foe’ but the fans couldn’t hide their love for their legend who spent all his active career years playing for the ‘Red Army’.

The highly anticipated fixture between the two sides lived up to its billing with the host bossing the early minutes for the game.

Liverpool FC visitors Aston Villa, showed character and compactness to keep a cool head to resist all the host threw at them.

Gradually, Aston Villa, grew into the game, came close to take a lead before the break, all thanks to Liverpool FC safe hands, Allison Becker, who pulled two brilliant saves to keep the game level.

On re-emergence for the second half, the host finally got a deserving lead to peg the opponent’s back to a defeat Courtesy of, Mohamed Salah, match winner.

Seamoriow U-17 Triumphs in First Test Match After Arriving in Ijebu Ode For A 3 Days Camp Exercise

The Seamoriow U-17 team made a triumphant entrance into Ijebu Ode on February 29th, kicking off a three-day camp under the guidance of Coaches Olanrewaju Olojo, affectionately known as Wenger, Coach Samson, and Coach Kehinde.

Upon their arrival, the team wasted no time and delved straight into its first training session, gearing up for their first test match against Switch FA.

Today, a day after their arrival, they showcased their prowess on the field, clinching victory with a scoreline of 3-1. Opeyemi and Fuad secured two goals in the first half, while a late penalty converted by Dolapo sealed the deal for the Inspired Boys.

Reflecting on the victory and the camp experience, Team Coach Olanrewaju Olojo remarked, “It’s a fantastic start for us. The boys showed great determination and adaptability, and I’m pleased with how they executed our game plan.”

Offering his perspective on the camp’s impact, member of the management and club coordinator; Olayinka Olajide stated, “The camp has been invaluable for the team’s cohesion and performance. It’s evident that the intensive training and team bonding have paid off on the pitch.”

Josiah Emmanuel Fast Settling Down With NPFL Side, Promise To Help Team Survive Relegation

The 23 years old Former Podgorica of Montenegro, Balikesirspor of Turkey and Seatle Sounders of USA forward is fast settling down with Heartland FC and has promised to give his best in the second stanza of the league.

Heartland have struggled this season and currently languish at the bottom of the log and only two days ago lost scandalously to Plateau United at home with the Jos based side scoring 5 times while Heartland managed to score once.

Josiah Emmanuel believes all that will change and believes with the right attitude and mentality, the team will return back to winning form and will start earning crucial points both at home and away.
