Red-hot Nigerian Striker, John Okoli was the ‘Messiah’ for Egyptian topflight league outfit,Al Mokawloon Al Arab Sporting Club as his second half goal was enough to clinch maximum points for the team against, Tala’ea El Gaish Sporting Club.

Okoli who has been in a decent form was given the front line to play, a trust which he reciprocated with a winning goal for the team.

Energetic and youthful Super Eagles defender, Bruno Onyemaechi, has been named Boavista Futebol Clube, Player of the Month for March after a series of standout performances for the club.

The young defender played a vital role in the team’s games against Arouca and Famalicao, making several crucial tackles, interceptions, and ground duels.

Despite Boavista’s 3-0 defeat to Sporting Lisbon, Onyemaechi showed great resilience and played a strong game in the team’s subsequent loss to Famalicao. His contributions on the offensive end, including accurate crosses and key passes, were also a key factor in the team’s performances throughout the month.

In addition to his club success, Onyemaechi’s impressive form was recognized with a call-up to the Nigerian national team for their back-to-back games against Guinea-Bissau in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Although he did not feature in either match, the call-up was a significant accomplishment for the 23-year-old defender.

Despite receiving his first international call-up in the lead-up to the friendly against Portugal in November, Onyemaechi is yet to make his debut for the Super Eagles

Nevertheless, his recent performances for Boavista have caught the attention of fans and scouts alike, and he will be eager to continue his impressive form as the team faces Maritimo in their upcoming match.
