January Transfer Window: 12 Nigerian Stars Who Joined New Clubs



The On-going FIFA January transfer window has so far been a busy one for Nigerian Internationals and Nigeria eligible stars as they secure big moves to top leagues across European and Scandinavia leagues.

In this piece, we would list the Nigeria stars who has made moves to other clubsides in thee on-going January Transfer Window.

1. Innocent Bonke (Lorient FC, France)
Nigerian Super Eagles defensive midfielder, Innocent Bonke, after his contract expiration with Swedish topflight league giants, Malmo FF, has teamed up with French Ligue 1 side, Lorient FC.

The Nigerian international would be reuniting with his fellow Compatriot, Terem Moffi, who is already in the books of the French side.

2.Yira Collins Sor (Slavia Prague, Czech Republic)
The Nigerian junior international in the week under review made a big move to join Czech Republic top-flight league outfit, Slavia Prague, from FC Baník Ostrava.

Highly rated center forward, Ezikiel Henty, in the week under review completed a transfer from Slovakian topflight league side, Slovan Bratislava, to Saudi Arabian Clubside, Al-Hazem F.C.

4. Adeleke Akinola Akinyemi (Laçi, Albania)
The Nigerian international in the on-going January transfer window completed a move to Albania to team up with, Laçi, from Norwegian OBOS-LIGAEN outfit, Hamarkameratene.

5. Nsumoh Johnson Kalu (Birkirkara FC, Malta)
Highly rated Nigerian eligible striker, Nsumoh Johnson Kalu at the week under review signed for Maltase topflight league side, Birkirkara FC, from Mosta Football Club.

6. Aniekpeno Christopher Udo (Al-Kholood, Saudi Arabia)
Saudi Arabia first division oufit, Al-Kholood, in the on-going January transfer window has completed the signing of Nigeria born striker, Aniekpeno Christopher Udo, from Finnish topflight league side, Kuopion Palloseura.

7. Anthony Chigaemezu Uzodimma (Ankara Keçiörengücü)
Turkish second tier league outfit, Ankara Keçiörengücü, in the on-going January Transfer Window, completed the signing of highly rated Nigerian eligible Midfielder, Anthony Chigaemezu Uzodimma, from Turkish outfit, Kayserispor.

8. Philip Otele (Asociația Fotbal Club UTA, Romania)
Highly rated Nigerian eligible left wing wizard, Philip Otele, in the January transfer window completed a move to team up Romanian topflight league giants, Asociația Fotbal Club UTA Arad, ahead of the league resumption.

9. Azubuike Godson Okechukwu (Yeni Malatyaspor, Turkey)
Former Nigeria U23 Skipper, Azubuike Godson Okechukwu, in the recent January transfer window, completed a long season loan move from Turkish topflight outfit, İstanbul Başakşehir to Yeni Malatyaspor.

10. Mikel Ndubuisi Agu (Fuenlabrada, Spain)
Spanish and Fuenlabrada based outfit, Club de Fútbol Fuenlabrada, S.A.D, last week completed the signing of Nigerian International, Mikel Ndubuisi Agu, from Portugues Clubside, Vitória de Guimarães.

After being out of Job for awhile, Nigeria Super Eagles Midfielder, John Ogu, has teamed up with Israeli side, Hapoel Nof Hafalil, on a short term deal.

12. Onazi Ogenyi (Aladalah club, Saudi Arabia)
After being off job for awhile, Former Lazio and Super Eagles Midfielder, Onazi has teamed up with Saudi Arabia topflight league giants, Aladalah Club.

Weekend Review: Fourteen (14) Nigeria Stars Who Found Back Of Net



Actions resumed across top European, Asian and Scandevian leagues as teams continued their quest for domestic glory in their various leagues.

In over a thousand games played across top leagues at the weekend, Nigerian players were outstanding with their various clubsides and here are (14) Nigerian stars who found back of the net at the weekend in review.

1. Abdulrazak Ishaq (BK Hacken, Sweden)

Golden boy came off the bench to kill off the game for BK Hacken as his second half goal doubled the team lead and earned the team a 2-0 win at full time.

2. Adediran Quadri (Banik Ostrava, Czech Republic)

The Nigerian wing-wizard scored his first goal for Banik Ostrava as his side cruised to a big win away from home.

3. Ade Oguns (Wydad Athletic Club, Morocco)

The sensational goal scorer was the hero for WAC as his solitary goal earned the team a 1-0 win over Berkane in Botola League.

4. Victor Olatunji (Sparta Prague, Czech Republic)

The towering forward recorded a goal and an assist to help Sparta Prague subdue Zlin away from home on a 2-1 scoreline.

5. Ihezuo Chinwendu (Pachuca, Mexico)

‘Unstoppable Ihezuo fired in a brace in Pachuca big win in the Mexican Femenil.

6. Ifeagwu Ojukwu (Chittagong Abahani, Bangladesh)

Ifeagwu Ojukwu returned in his scoring element at the weekend to score a brace to help his side secure a point in a 2-2 draw and still carted away MOTM award for the third time in a row.

7. Francis Momoh (Grasshoppers Zurich, Switzerland)

Momoh was the tormented in chief of FC Basel defenders as he scored his side first goal in their 2-1 win over Basel.

Official: Top Talent Efe Kegbe Joins Eliteserien Side Lillestrøm SK



Norwegian Eliteserien League side, Lillestrom SK, has completed the signing of highly rated Nigerian forward, Efe Kegbe, from FC One Rocket.

Efe Kegbe who started his professional football career in Nigeria enjoyed stint with Nigeria National League side, FC One Rocket, where he shone like a million stars in the NNL league which brought him to limelight.

Efe Kegbe talent was given a chance to showcases his talent in the Norway with Norwegian Eliteserien league side, Lillestrom SK, and impressed which landed him a deal with the Norwegian based side.

Signing on a Five-Year deal, Efe Kegbe is primed to follow the footsteps of fellow compatriot trio of Igoh Ogbu, Ifeanyi Mathew and Akor Adams who plied their trade with the Norwegian before moving to join Slavia Praha, Montepellier and FC Zurich respectively.

Speaking after his unveiling, Efe Kegbe expressed his delight to pen a deal with Lillestrom a club he has been following whilst in Nigeria and is excited to don the jersey of the top club side.

The deal which was concluded by both parties yesterday was brokered by topmost Nigerian Agent, Attah Aneke of the Players Management Group

Official: Nigeria Under-17 Ace Ebube Okere Joins Turkish Side Boluspor



Turkish TFF First League side, Boluspor, has completed the transfer of highly rated Nigeria Under-17 ace, Ebube Wisdom Okere, from Nigerian based side, Ofirima Football Club.

Started his football career with Ofirima Football, Ebube Wisdom Okere, exciting development earned him a call-up to the Nigeria Under-17 team where he his immense talent made his stand-out in back to back games with the Nigeria Golden Eaglets in WAFU Cup.

Golden fish has no hiding place, Wisdom Ebube Okere, five-star performance with the Nigeria Under-17 team during the WAFU Cup had him on top radar of top European and Scandevia leagues jostling for his signature.

To continue his development, the Nigeria youngster opts for Turkish side, Boluspor, where his tipped to have a quick impact in the stars studded Boluspor side.
