Frank Onyeka names the toughest teams in the Premier League

Published

Nigeria Super Eagles and Brentford midfielder Frank Onyeka has named Manchester City and Arsenal as the toughest teams in the Premier League.

Despite this rating, Onyeka and his teammates triumphed over the Citizens in both legs, the only team to do so in the 2022/2023 season.

In a chat with BRILA, Onyeka listed the reasons why the English Premier League is tougher than the Danish League where he famously starred for Midtjylland before the switch to Brentford two seasons ago.

“It’s the Premier League, every team is hard to play against, but Arsenal and Manchester City, in particular, are the toughest teams; they make you run all through,” Onyeka told Brila FM.

“The Premier League is different in a lot of ways from the Danish League. English football is fast, the pitch and the players are better and stronger.

“But, don’t get me wrong. The Danish league is also good, strong, and physical.”

With the season concluded in England, the next challenge before the 25-year old will be Nigera’s AFCON qualifiers Vs Sierra Leone.

Following Wilfred Ndidi’s drop in form, Onyeka has become Nigeria’s go-to -man in defensive midfielder and will likely start the game on June18.
