Former Head Coach of Kogi United and Udala FC, Awka Folabi Ojekunle has been named a perpetrator in a N3million naira fraud earlier last week. According to a source close to Willnam-Pro Football Club we gathered that the owner of Willnam-Pro Football Club paid the total of N3.1million (Three million One Hundred Thousand Naira) to Folabi Ojekunle who under false pretense collected the money to secure visa and flight ticket to a player of Willnam-Pro FC.

According to investigations done by Nigeriasportsnews.com correspondent, we gathered that Folabi Ojekunle had organized a scouting program in Uyo, Akwa Ibom where several top teams in the state were invited including Blessed Stars Football Academy, Immortality FC, Greater Tomorrow Sports Club, Paragon Football Club and some other clubs in the state.

According to our source in Akwa Ibom, Blessed Stars Football Academy former team manager Moses Ukpong was among the organizers of the program but withdrew his team 2days into the scouting program.

Folabi Ojekunle is said to have obtained the total sum of N3.1million (Three Million, One Hundred Thousand Naira) from Willnam-Pro Football Club under the guise of securing trails for a player of Willnam-Pro Football Club in Stabæk Fotball Club. Willnam-Pro Football Club chairman received a dubious invitation from Folabi Ojekunle after he made the payment to his account. The invitation was then sent to club for confirmation where Stabæk FC confirmed that the invitation was fake and not from her club.

Willnam-Pro Football Club has reportedly opened a petition against Folabi Ojekunle and is expected to be served in person soon. If taken to court and found guilty he may face 20 years in prison.
