Former Enyimba Skipper Opens Goal Account In Saudi Arabia

One time Enyimba Skipper and former Rivers United rock solid defender, Ifeanyi Anaemena, opened his goal account this evening in the Saudi Arabian Division 1 league.

The defender who is known for scoring goals powered in a beautiful cross form the conner in the 73rd minutes to restore parity for his side who where trailing by 1- 0 scoring his first goal for Al Nadah since joining from Rivers United on a free following the expiration of his one year deal.

Since joining the Saudi Arabian Division 1 side ,Al Nahda, at the beginning of the Saudi Arabian Division 1 season, Anaemena has established himself as an integral squad member of the team with back to back outstanding performance’s.

While reacting in a post match press conference, Anaemena expressed his delight to score his first goal for his team regardless the disappointing result at full time.

““It feels so great to get my first goal for the club”, said the elated Anaemena.

“Scoring goals as a defender has always been a part of me, i have been working on it in every training section, thank God it finally came today and I am so happy”, he concluded.

The former Giwa defender scored seven goals for Enyimba in the 2019/2020 season, he also scored three times for Rivers United in the 2020/2021 Nigeria football season.

    Nigerian defender, Ohale Osinachi, has sent strong warnings to South Africa ahead of the Women’s Olympic FIFA World Cup play-off against South Africa later this month as she expertly commanded C.F. Pachuca Femenil backline to clinch a 4-0 win against Santos Laguna (w) on a clean-sheet in one of the fixtures played in the Mexican Femenil earlier today.

    The Super Falcons are set to take on South Africa in a two-match series, with the initial encounter slated for April 5 at the MKO Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.

    The return leg is slated for April 9 at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria.

    The winner of the tie will clinch one of Africa’s two tickets to the Women’s Olympic Football Tournament.

    Ohale who joined Pachuca Femenil at the beginning of the year has continued to stamp authority in the heart of Pachuca Femenil with handful of clean sheets under her belt.

    The rock-solid defender with her experience and calmness in play is believed to help the Nigeria Super Falcons outplay South Africa to clinch one of the spots for Paris Women Olympics.
