DANIEL CHUKWUMELIE ONYIA EXPECTS TO SEE A RESURGENT INTER LAGOS FC IN THEIR NEXT NNL FIXTURE

Published

on

One of the revelations for Inter Lagos FC and a youth product of Flying Angels Academy of Enugu, Daniel Onyia has stated that he expects a fight from his team mates as they take on Giant Brillars at the UNEC Stadium, Enugu in another away fixture this weekend.
Daniel was a key member of the 2023 Nigerian U-17 side tutored by Coach Nduka Ugbade but failed to make the final squad list to the 2023 AFCON U-17 in Algeria on administrative grounds.
The 17 year old midfielder has now joined up with new and ambitious NNL side, Inter Lagos FC and have been in great form for the side despite the Lagos based side losing its first two matches.
As the team embarks on its second away tie to Giant Brillars this weekend, Daniel has now assured fans and stakeholders of the club of a resurgent form for his side.
In his words, the exciting and gifted midfielder while speaking with the media said that ‘’We are hoping to finally pick our first point this weekend against Giant Brillars and I am hoping it will be a rewarding home-coming for me. The stadium to host the match, the UNEC Stadium is just a stone throw away from where I and my family live in Enugu, so I am hoping my people from my community will throw their support behind our team against Giant Brillars. I also believe this will mark a turnaround for us because in all honesty we gave our very best in our first two games of the season, first against Ijebu United whom we really played well against and I feel we actually deserved at least a point in that match but luck didn’t smile on us in that encounter. Also against Crown FC of Ogbomosho, we also put in so much and felt we were hard done by hard luck but we are hoping all of that will change starting with our match against Giant Brillars in Enugu’’ concluded Daniel Onyia
