The Nigeria Super Eagles after a long-while bounced back to winning ways following their 3-0 convincing win over Benin Republic in one of the 2025 African Cup Of Nations qualifiers played yesterday at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.

Following the team overall performance, one name, a Super Eagles player has been continually mentioned by Nigeria football enthusiasts across various social media platforms following his remarkable and solid performance against Benin Republic.

Boavista Futebol Clube of Portugal defender, Bruno Onyemaechi, is that one Super Eagles player who has been on the lips of many as some are yet to get over the incredible performance of the rock-solid defender.

Played out all 90mins, Bruno was an absolute beauty in the heart of the Eagles backline as he ran the show from the left-back position expertly.

Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman has earned a prestigious nomination for the 2024 Ballon d’Or, solidifying his claim as a top contender for the CAF Men’s Player of the Year award. The 26-year-old is the only African player on the 30-man shortlist, marking a milestone in his career following a remarkable 2023/24 season for both club and country.
