Egypt Premier League: 14 Nigerian Stars To Look Out For

After an exciting 2021/2022 season, the Egyptian topflight league is billed to resume later today with (3) games in the offing for the 2022/2023 season.

In view of the league, teams intensified Preparations with top level friendly fixtures to sharpen their competitive edge.

When the new Egyptian League season gets underway tomorrow, here (14) Nigerian Stars to look out for.

1. Kingsley Sokari (Pharco FC, Egypt)
The highly rated Nigerian international would aim to superced his last season feat in the new season. Since joining the Egyptian, the Super Eagles midfielder grew through the ranks through Hardwork to be ever present in the stars studded Pharco FC side.

Historically, Kingsley Sokari holds the record of being the second Nigerian International to feature for the Nigeria cadet National team and for the Super Eagles concurrently.

The former Katsina United striker who joined ENPPI from rival club, Cleopatra Ceramica who look forward to justify his signing with goals in the new season.

8. Junior Ajayi (Smouha, Egypt)
The former Al Ahly talisman in the just concluded transfer window made a return back to the Egyptian topflight league to conclude his unfinished business in the league.

Painting the league red with goals whilst with Al Ahly, Ajayi would look forward to continue from where he stopped as he will hope to hit the ground running from his first game.

9. Sodiq Awujoola (Smouha, Egypt)
The Petit winger who took the league by storm last term will hope to superced his last season feat when the new season comes alive tomorrow.

10. John Okoli (Arab Contractors, Egypt)
Ending last season with good goal margin, dazzling John Okoli just like Oliver twist would hope to do more as he eye double digit goals in the new Egyptian League season.

11. Kelechi Chimezie (El Daklyeh, Egypt)
Energetic Kelechi Chimezie would hope to prove his worth and justify his signing in his maiden season in the Egyptian topflight league.

Bagging a feat of playing all matches in the Nigeria top-flight league last term, the box to box midfielder is expected to give a good account of himself in his new home.

12.Christopher John (El Daklyeh, Egypt)
Just like his fellow compatriot, Kelechi Chimezie, Sensational youngster will hope to carve a niche for himself in his first season in the Egyptian topflight league.

13. Funom Alfred (El Daklyeh, Egypt)
Alongside his compatriot, high flying wing wizard, Funom Alfred would hope to paint the Egyptian topflight league with goals when the new season gets underway.

14. Abdullahi Ojifinni (El Daklyeh, Egypt)
The former ABS Youngster will look forward to make his first season in the Egyptian topflight league count positively.

Atuloma Emeka: Nigerian Midfielder Relishes Al Ettihad Experience

Nigerian international, Emeka Atuloma has relished his experience playing with Bahraini based side, Al Ettihad Bahrain, in the just concluded Bahrain second division 2023/2024 season.

Holidaying in Nigeria, the utility player in a chat with Nigerian journalist, Nwosu ‘Chygoz’ Chigozie, bared his experience in the just concluded season playing for Al Ettihad.

“It was a sweet experience playing for a wonderful club like Al Ittihad, they club has one of the best fan base and they kept lending their support to their darling team althrough the season”

“The league is quiet demanding but never took me long to adopt as I have played in the country in the last two years so am used to the food and their weather”

“It was no doubt a remarkable season for me, had the most number of matches and equally helped the team always anytime defending the badge”

“Am looking forward to the next challenge which will be made public in the coming weeks” cheerful Atuloma concluded.

Known for his bullish nature in the middle of the park and his ability to play in more than one position, Atuloma remained handful and ever present in the stars studded Al Ittihad team.

The Nigerian midfielder has played in numerous leagues as he list Al-Shabab as his former clubside.
