Done Deal: Nigerian Defender Joins Slovenian Club Domžale On A Year Deal

Slovenian club, Nogometni klub Domžale have announced the signing of Abraham Nnamdi Nwankwo on a year deal with an option of renewal, reports Nigeriasportsnews.com

Abraham Nnamdi Nwankwo linked up with the Rumena družina from Turkish based outfit, Balıkesirspor.

The 21-year-old made a handful appearances across all competitions for Balıkesirspor during his years of stint with the Turkish based outfit.

Announcing his arrival, Nogometni klub Domžale took to it’s official social media handles to unveil the Defender – Centre-Back publicly.

“Our new defender became 21-year-old Nigerian, Abraham Nnamdi Nwankwo, who is moving to Slovenia from Turkey where he wore, Balikesirspor shirts for (3) seasons”

“Because of our injury woes amongst our defenders, we look forward to get a long lasting solution with the arrival of Nigerian star, Abraham Nnamdi Nwankwo” the official statement concluded.

Reacting after his unveiling, Abraham Nnamdi Nwankwo thanked the club for their warm welcome as he looks forward to settle quickly in his new home as he has his former teammate in Turkey in the Domžale team, who contributed immensely to his signing for the club.

    Nigerian defender, Ohale Osinachi, has sent strong warnings to South Africa ahead of the Women’s Olympic FIFA World Cup play-off against South Africa later this month as she expertly commanded C.F. Pachuca Femenil backline to clinch a 4-0 win against Santos Laguna (w) on a clean-sheet in one of the fixtures played in the Mexican Femenil earlier today.

    The Super Falcons are set to take on South Africa in a two-match series, with the initial encounter slated for April 5 at the MKO Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.

    The return leg is slated for April 9 at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria.

    The winner of the tie will clinch one of Africa’s two tickets to the Women’s Olympic Football Tournament.
