DANIEL ONYIA ENJOYING A GOOD RUN OF FORM WITH INTER LAGOS FOOTBALL CLUB

The former Flying Angels Football Club player is currently having a fine run of form with Nigeria National League and Lagos based side, Inter Lagos Football Club and has stated that he will continue to put in his best for the club.
Since joining the club, the Central Midfielder who is also comfortable playing as an Attacking midfielder has had a handful of appearances for Inter Lagos FC this season, although the exciting playmaker and a member of the Nduka Ugbade 2023 led U-17 team is still looking to get on the score-sheet in the current campaign.
Responding to questions fielded by Newsmen, Daniel said his team have rediscovered their form and he is happy to be making meaningful contributions to the team’s resurgent form. In his words, he said ; “ I am very happy with the team’s form. At the start of the season, we struggled a bit but all of that has now changed and we have had a resurgent form which has seen us won some crucial points both at home and away from home, even against teams that were tipped as favourites against us.
‘I am currently enjoying my game and fast settling down here. I started the last game and despite the game ending in a 0-0 draw, I gave my very best for the team. We are looking forward to our next game and with our form, we are hopeful of a positive outcome in our next game’’ concluded the midfield maestro.
Inter Lagos have not lost a game in their last seven appearances and are now currently second behind Ikorodu City, having amassed a total of 17 points with 5 wins, 2 draws and 3 losses in ten games.

Nigerian football talents dreaming of a career in Europe may now have their chance, as the 2nd edition of the Sporting24/Quadrans Scouting Tournament has attracted top scouts from France, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, and Belgium.

Gabriel Imadonmwinyi, the Sporting Director at Sporting24 FA who are the organisers of the scouting program stated that while addressing the media

“Following the successes recorded in the first edition in February, with the number of exciting young talents identified came about the plan to organize the second edition.

“As Nigerians living in fast-growing suburbs, football is almost impossible to ignore as there are a lot of talents waiting to be tapped. At Sporting24 FA, we are committed to identifying talent through our organised scouting networks.

“We are thrilled about the potentials of the players that have been scouted so far possess the requisite ability and talent and we are excited to see how they develop in their respective careers.’

“The Sporting24Football Academy and Quadrans Football Management Scouting Tournament have also got the needed boost with the arrival of our Football Scouts from France, Spain, Italy, Switzerland and Belgium.

“Our goal is to create opportunities for aspiring footballers to showcase their talents and fulfill their potentials and we are confident that this scouting program will be a resounding success and yield the expected results as several talents are expected to kick-start their pro careers from this scouting program.”

In the wake of the much-anticipated Sporting24/Quadrans Football Management Scouting Tournament, seven promising footballers have been identified for potential professional careers. The three-day event, which drew participation from prominent academies and clubs across Nigeria, concluded with a fervent display of skill and determination from aspiring talents.

The selected players, hailed for their standout performances, represent a diverse array of academies and clubs:

Former Nigerian youth international, Awakan Abdulafeez Olawale, has become the center of attention for Iraqi outfit Amal Sports Club as they aim to bolster their squad for promotion contention.

Olawale, 23, made headlines as a teenage sensation when he received an invitation to join the Nigerian U-23 squad in 2016.
