Rock-solid Super Eagles defender, Bruno Onyemaechi, came through with an impressive performance as he showed off class in Boavista Futebol Clube 0-0 draw against, Vitória de Guimarães in one of Portuguese Cup fixtures played yesterday.

The energetic Nigerian international ran the show for all 90mins playing from the left back position, keeping it solid defensively and was a menace to opponent’s backline offensively.

Hoping to maintain top spot in Group F, Boavista Futebol Clube lined up against, Vitória Sport Clube hoping to cart away maximum points at stake.

Just like, Boavista Futebol Clube, Vitória de Guimarães looked forward to improve their position on the log after Matchday 3 when they face, Boavista Futebol Clube.

The exciting fixture had the spectators at the edge of their sits as the two ball playing sides showed off the best of football artistry regardless no goals recorded before the half time break.

Energetic and youthful Super Eagles defender, Bruno Onyemaechi, has been named Boavista Futebol Clube, Player of the Month for March after a series of standout performances for the club.

The young defender played a vital role in the team’s games against Arouca and Famalicao, making several crucial tackles, interceptions, and ground duels.

Despite Boavista’s 3-0 defeat to Sporting Lisbon, Onyemaechi showed great resilience and played a strong game in the team’s subsequent loss to Famalicao. His contributions on the offensive end, including accurate crosses and key passes, were also a key factor in the team’s performances throughout the month.

In addition to his club success, Onyemaechi’s impressive form was recognized with a call-up to the Nigerian national team for their back-to-back games against Guinea-Bissau in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Although he did not feature in either match, the call-up was a significant accomplishment for the 23-year-old defender.

Despite receiving his first international call-up in the lead-up to the friendly against Portugal in November, Onyemaechi is yet to make his debut for the Super Eagles

Nevertheless, his recent performances for Boavista have caught the attention of fans and scouts alike, and he will be eager to continue his impressive form as the team faces Maritimo in their upcoming match.
