Abia Comets Unveils ‘Mourinho’ As New Head Coach Coach

Ahead of the 2023/2024 Nigeria National League season, we are glad to announce Kelvin ‘Mourinho’ Ejeh as our new head Coach.

The gaffer has teamed up with us on a two year contract.

Kelvin Ejeh popularly known as Coach Mourihno comes with huge experience having worked as Assistant Coach at our city neighbours Abia Warriors, where he propelled the team to a 4th place finish in the group B of the just concluded NPFL 2022/2023 season.

Coach Kelvin Ejeh is a CAF C licensed coach and also a graduate of La Liga Methodology course level 1-5, Basic certificate course at the National Institute of sports, and Advance Certificate course at the National Institute of sports, as well as six years Military service.

Abia Comets FC Chairman, Chief Boniface Alozie Uche who confirmed the development, made it known that the club is convinced that coach Ejeh is capable of leading us to the next level, especially this season that we are pushing for promotion to the top tier in the Nigerian league.

In the same vein, the Sporting Director Engr. Kelechi Orji Nnorom who was pleased with the recent development said the Coach Ejeh has what it takes to achieve set targets considering his experience and rich CV, he added that the management will provide him with the needed support to thrive and succeed in line with the new youthful recruitment policy of the club.

Victor Olatunji: Nigeria Striker Emerges MOL Cup Champion With Sparta Prague

NNigerian striker, Olatunji Victor, has added another medal in his cabin as Czech Republic giants, Sparta Prague, emerge win of the 2023/2024 MOL Cup.

It would be the second medal for the Nigeria Super Eagles forward in a week afterwards Sparta Prague emergence champions of the Czech Republic Fortuna Liga 2023/2024 season.

Build up to its finals with Viktoria Plezen, Nigerian forward, Victor Olatunji was pivotal to the team’s winning streak to emerge finalists.

The two highly spirited side marched on for the second half and it was Sparta Prague who broke the deadlock following Viktoria Plezen 79th minute own goal.

Sparta Prague celebration was short-lived as Viktoria Plezen restored parity at the 87th minute to rise the game tempo.

Heading into final whistle, Sparta Prague, showed off class as the pick their lead with an 90th minute goal, a goal which turned Cup wining goal for Sparta Prague.
