Abel Ogwuche: Promising Nigerian Defender To Arrive Nigeria U20 Camp Today

One of the foreign professionals invited to the National U-20 camp is set to now join the Flying Eagles (the Nigerian U-20 team)’s camp on the 20th of January says adviser to the player and CEO of Tripple 44 Academy, the youth Academy of the Centre Back.

According to Samuel Olatunji Okuku, it was difficult securing the release of the player to be part of the Nigerian U-20 Team.

In his words ” I can confirm that Abel will now join the U-20 camp in Abuja from the 20th of January. Initially, his club, Trelleborgs were not keen to release him. They only recently signed him on a permanent after an initial 9 months loan from us(Tripple 44) and he is their record signing, so it is only logical for the club to protect their prized asset but after going back and forth on the matter with the management of Trelleborgs FF, we were able to both come to an agreement and Abel Ogwuche will now join the U-20 camp all things been equal by 20th of January” concluded Samuel Okuku.

Abel who had inked a 4 years deal with Trelleborgs FF had featured 8 times for the Swedish Superettan side during his 9 months loan deal. His team never lost whenever he started. He also bagged three man of the matches awards with the side.
