20 Super Eagles Stars To Watch Out For This Weekend

After a week long International break, club actions is set to resume this weekend across top leagues in Europe with many mouth watering fixtures on offer .

Below are the Super Eagles players who are expected to be in action for their respective clubs.

1. Jamilu Collins (Paderborn, Germany)

The Super Eagles left full back who featured in the World Cup qualifiers double header fixture during the international break will line up with his German based division 2 side as they continue their quest for promotion into the German Bundesliga.

It will be a top of table clash as Paderborn trade tackles with 2nd position placed, Regensburg side who are just a point above Paderborn.

2. Sadiq Umar (Almeria, Spain)

The inform gangling striker will look forward to increase his goal tally in the Spanish second division league as his Almeria side comes toe to toe with Eibar at the weekend.
Almeria will look forward to consolidate it’s position on top of the summit as they take on 5th placed Eibar.

3. Troost-Ekong x Dennis Emmanuel (Watford, England)

The Super Eagles assistant Skipper, his fellow compatriot and the Watford team will have their hands full as they trade tackles with Liverpool with their new gaffer in charge.

5. Frank Onyeka (Brentford, England)

The defensive midfielder will look forward to continue his impressive form for newly promoted, Brentford FC, at the weekend as they face Chelsea FC at home.

The Super Eagles new boy was involved in the double header fixture during the international break with the Nigeria National team side .

6. Cyril Dessers (Feyenoord, Netherland)

The Super Eagles striker will look forward to increase his goal tally for his new side as they continue their campaign in the Netherland topflight league.

The Genk striker weren’t part of the Nigeria Senior National team during the international break.

7. Calvin Bassey (Ranger’s, Scotland)

The Super Eagles new boy will be in action for his Scottish based outfit at the weekend as they continue their quest for league glory.

Calvin was an unused Sub in his debut invite to the National team during the international break.

8. Joe Aribo (Rangers, Scotland)

The left footed midfielder will look forward to increase his goal tally and continue his impressive form as he lines up with his Scottish based side against, Hearts at the Weeknd.

Joe was activity involved in the Super Eagles double header game during the international break.

9. Leon Balogun (Rangers, Scotland)

The big centre back is expected to feature for his Scottish based outfit as they continue their quest for league glory as the Scottish league comes alive this weekend.

Balogun played an active part in the Super Eagles outing during the international break and had a goal to his name, his first goal for the Nigeria Senior National team.

10. Innocent Bonke (Rangers, Scotland)

The rock solid defensive midfielder will pilot the affairs for his team from the middle of the park as they face, Ostersunds, at the weekend.

Bonke was involved in the Super Eagles games during the international break.

11. Moses Simon (Nantes, France)

The wing wizard will file out with his French side as they trade tackles with, Bordeaux, at the weekend.

‘Daddy’ was involved in the Super Eagles good outing during the international break.

12. Samuel Kalu (Bordeaux, France)

The Winger will face his fellow compatriot team, Moses Simon, at the weekend as they meet in the French league.

The winger was involved in the Super Eagles double header outing during the international break.

13. Victor Osimhen (Napoli, Italy)

The lethal striker won the Italian league best player of the month under review after a good performance.

Osimhen will look forward to increase his goal tally as he faced fellow compatriot team, Torino, on Sunday.

The gangling striker was on target for the Nigeria Senior National team during the international break.

14. Ola Aina (Torino, Italy)

The right full back and his team will have their hands full as they face his fellow compatriot and his team at the weekend.

Aina will be relied on to stop his inform compatriot, Victor Osimhen, from wrecking havoc.

Aina was on parade for the Super Eagles in the double header fixture during the international break.

15. Samuel Chukwueze (Villareal, Spain)

After weeks on the sideline, Chukwueze will look forward to return to action for the yellow Submarines as they welcome, Osasuna.

The winger was not in camp for the Super Eagles team during the international break because of an injury.

16. Paul Ebere Onuachu (Genk, Belgium)

The lanky striker will look forward to increase his goal tally as his Belgian side, Genk, faces Real Chaleroi.

The Striker was in camp during the international break but never featured for the Super Eagles during the double header fixture during the international break.

17. Henry Onyekuru (Olympiacos, Greece)

Onyekuru will look forward to increase his goal tally as his Greek based outfit, Olympiacos, face Giannina at the Weeknd.

18. Maduka Okoye (Sparta Rotterdam, Netherlands)

The goalkeeper will come in between the sticks for the Holland based outfit as they face Groningen.
The goalie returned in between the sticks for the Nigeria Senior National team in Douala after missing the party in Lagos owing to Visa issues during the international break

19. Chidera Ejuke (CSKA Moscow, Russia)

The CSKA wing wizard will look forward to continue tormenting the Russian topflight league defenders as they face, Ural, away from home.

Ejuke was the cynosure of all eyes with the winger putting up a scillinating performance that got his name on every ones lips after the International break.

Weekend Review: Nine (9) Nigerian Stars Who Found Back Of Net

Actions resumed over the weekend across many leagues as teams continue their quest for domestic and continental glory in various Matchdays.

In over a thousand games played across top leagues at the weekend, Nigerian players were outstanding with their various clubsides and here are (9) Nigerian stars who found back of the net at the weekend.

1. Chidera Ejuke (Royal Antwerp, Belgium)

The Nigerian ‘magician’ was in his usual element as he scored and bagged assists to help Royal Antwerp clinch a 3-0 win.

2. Rasheed Sodiq (Rabotinick, Macedonia)

The Nigerian defender came through with a goal to help Rabotnicki Skopje secure a win at home.

3. Terem Moffi (OG Nice, France)

The Nigeria Super Eagles star scored his side only goal in their 2-1 defeat to Tolouse.

4. Boluwatife Ogungbayi (Slavia Praha, Czech Republic)

The highly rated forward fired in a brace to help Slavia Prague B clinch a 3-0 against Admira Prague.

5. Ahmed Abdullahi (Genk, Belgium)

Red-hot Ahmed Abdullahi in his scoring element scored twice to help Jong Genk down Royal Antwerp B at home.

6. Aliyu Ibrahim (Houston Dynamo, USA)

The Nigerian winger opened his goal account in the new season regardless his side 2-1 lose.

7. Effiong Nsungusi (FC Neftchi Fergana, Uzbekistan)

Nsungusi started off life with, FC Neftchi Fergana, on the front foot as he fired a brace to inspire the team win.

8. Olakunle Olusegun (FC Krasnodar, Russia)

The Nigerian striker opened scoring for his side to earn the team a point in their 1-1 stalemate.

Nigeria Striker, Leke James Bags Degree In Business Management

Nigeria forward, Leke Samson James, has completed his Business and Sports Management course at the, University of Hertfordshire in United Kingdom.

James follows in the footstep of former Nigeria International, Seyi Olofinjana, Nigeria Super Eagles midfielder, Ndidi Wilfred as well as Nigeria Super Falcons duo of Rasheedat Ajibade and Uchenna Kanu. who bagged degrees in same discipline.

He started out his career in his native homeland playing for Bridge Boys.

He transferred to Aalesund on 6 January 2012,

On 26 July 2012 he made his first appearance for Aalesund coming on as a substitute at the start of the second half of the game versus Tirana in Europe League scoring twice in Aalesund’s 5–0 win. On 29 July 2012 he made his debut in Tippeligaen and also started his first match, against Stabæk.

Between 2016 and 2017 he played for Chinese club Beijing Enterprises Group in China League One.

On 30 April 2018, Molde FK announced the signing of James on a three-year contract.[2] He got his Molde debut on 26 July 2018 when he came on as a 67th minute substitute in Molde’s 3–0 win against Laçi in the 2018–19 UEFA Europa League second qualifying round. James scored Molde’s third goal in the game

On June 2019, James scored a perfect hat-trick in the first half in Molde’s 4–0 away win against Strømsgodset.[3]He scored with his right foot, left foot and his head and completed his hat-trick in 13 minutes and 45 seconds. On 11 July 2019.

After a short spell in the Saudi Pro League, James joined Süper Lig club Sivasspor on a two-year on 14 July 2021.[6]

On 30 December 2021, James scored two goals in Sivasspor’s 2–1 win over MKE Ankaragücü in the fifth round of the Turkish Cup.[7] Sivasspor would eventually defeat Kayserispor in the final to secure the club its first major honour.[8]

Bulgarian Cup: Ukaki Success Shines In Botev Plovdiv Quarter-Finals Win.

Promising Nigerian youngster, Success Ukaki came through with another top performance in the colors of Bulgarian outfit, Botev Plovdiv, as he shone like a million stars in the keenly contested quarter-finals fixture between Botev Plovdiv and Spartak Varna in the Bulgarian cup.

Arriving from FDC Vista, Ukaki within a short term has continued to garner minutes of action under his belt as he delivered excellently haven started against Spartak Varna in the Bulgarian Cup quarterfinals.

Playing from Right-wing back position, Ukaki was a menace down the channels as he was a major threat offensively and still kept it solid defensively.

Ukaki and his Botev Plovdiv side squared up for a tricky clash in the quarter finals of the Bulgarian cup haven been drawn to trade tackles with Spartak Varna.

Spartak Varna has their quest for glory put to a litmus test haven been drawn to face top ranking Botev Plovdiv side away from home in the quarterfinals.

First half of the exciting fixture had Botev Plovdiv establishing a 1-0 lead at half time courtesy of Nigerian striker, Samuel Akere 22nd minute goal.

On return for the second half, Akere continued from where he stopped and this time provided assist for Popov.I 72nd minute goal which doubled Botev Plovdiv lead.

Spartak Varna fought back only to get a consolation goal which wasn’t enough to cause upset for Botev Plovdiv
